Hollywood Kids Theater Program

Musical Theater as our “Core Curriculum” because it encompasses all aspects of the Theater Arts. Our classes are performance based and include instruction in Acting, Singing, Dancing and Auditioning. Our “Hollywood Twinkles ”, “Hollywood Kids”, “Hollywood Teens” and “Hollywood Encore” classes audition each semester for roles and are cast in our productions (our “Twinkles” perform but do not audition). They literally grow up auditioning and performing because all “Hollywood Kids” perform each season in a Play or Review type production. From Shakespeare to Broadway our students study and perform the best theatrical literature while having so much fun! We also teach them auditioning skills from five years old & up. Technical Theater Classes Levels I and II as well as Stage Make-up.

For our more dedicated theater students we are proud to offer a special "TRIPLE THREAT " or "3T" program". This program allows these serious students to take three classes per semester as part of our "3T"Curriculm and receive a significant discount. As these students progress through this program they will receive certification and graduate from our Hollywood Kids Academy "TRIPLE THREAT " Program. Each student declares a "Major" area of study with two "Minor" areas of emphais. For example, a student may major in ? and Minor in ? and ?. All courses last for the entire season and are designed progressively, so that students will build gradually upon each previous year's experience. The purpose of our program is to ensure that your students recieve the most comprehensive and the best quality dance education possible. Our graduates will be prepared to continue on with their college and career opportunities.

"Fairytale Theater & Dance" Program - Ages 3 - 5

This is a light and fun class that introduces little ones to the magical world of Musical Theater and Dance. They act, dance, dress up and are read to each week. They do a differenct Fairytale and perform it for their parents at the end of each month. This is the best performing arts preschool program that we could ever imagine. In addition to the Dancing and Acting, they learn to focus, pay attention and follow directions. The class is just enchanting. All preschool boys and girls love dressing up and pretending. They perform their way into our hearts each semester.

Hollywood "Broadway Kids" - Ages 5 thru 11

This wonderful class teach the elementary fundamentals of the musical theater including acting, singing, dancing, some tumbling and auditioning techniques. All our "HK's" perform in a play/review- type show each semester. They study great theatrical literature from Disney to Broadway. They audition for leads, but are in the shows no matter what. This class builds their confidence and self-esteem while having the time of their lives!

Hollywood "Broadway Teens" - Ages 11 thru 14

These classes are more advanced and take these teenagers to new levels in the performing arts. Acting, singing, dancing, tumbling and auditioning are taught in a more challenging yet fun-filled environment. They perform more advanced theatrical literature from Disney to Broadway. Their shows are faster-paced and more demanding, but within their ability. They learn and grow while having so much fun with other junior high and high school teens. They audition for leads, but all are cast in the plays. Everyone performs. These kids really shine!

"ENCORE" - Ages 14 thru 19

This class is our performing class for our High School age students. This is a Musical Theater and Revue based class. All High School age students can participate in this exciting group. These kids will learn auditioning skills, acting, dancing and singing (including solos). They will perform Musical Theater and Revue shows. Their skills will develop and their confidence will soar. The skys the limit for our "Encore" kids!

"OVATION" - Ages 14 thru 19

This class is designed for our more seriously dedicated students who are considering careers in the performing arts. Ovation is truly the performing arts in "hyperdrive". These students act, sing, dance, and audition for demanding and challenging solos and parts. They perform multiple shows each year and are designed to be a touring group. Their shows are fast paced and very demanding. This class allows these students to "go the distance" and prepares them for future college and/or professional opportunities.

HOLLYWOOD KIDS ACADEMY THEATER PERRFORMERS

MISSING REHEARSAL/ PERFORMANCES POLICY ALL COMPANY MEMBERS ARE ONLY ALLOWED 5 EXCUSED ABCENSES. IF THEY REACH 6 ABCENSES THEY WILL BE PUT ON COMPANY PROBATION. FAILURE TO ATTEND ANY REHEARSAL THE MONTH PRIOR TO COMPETITION OR PERFORMANCE WILL AFFECT THEIR PLACEMENT IN THE NUMBER OR PLACE THE DANCER ON PROBATION FOR THAT EVENT. FAILURE TO SHOW FOR A PERFORMANCE WILL RESULT IN DISSMISSAL FROM THE COMPANY. UNEXCUSED ABSENCES ARE NOT ALLOWED, ILLNESS REQUIRES A DR.S NOTE. DANCERS ON PROBATION MUST STILL ATTEND ALL PERFORMANCES TO SUPPORT THEIR TEAM.
