Professional Series Program
3.5 hour or more per week
This is a new program at HKA and is for kids who are more serious about the performing arts and want to become professionals and have employment opportunities. Kids will recieve the full spectrum of training in our Pro-Series to prepare them for Broadway and Hollywood including advanced Acting, Musical Theater, Dance, Singing, Auditioning, Movies, Television, Commercials, Script Analysis and will have the opportunity to be seen by the top Casting Agencies in the world. They will also get to work with real actors and international Talent Manager Billy Hufsey. This training will help them become the most amazing Triple Threat Broadway and Hollywood performers!
There are two sections of our HKA Professional Series. In order to achieve the maximum marketability and professionalism, HKA students need to become proficient in both sections.

Triple Threat Program
3.5 hour or more per week
A “Triple Threat” performer is a performer who can Act, Sing and Dance. “Triple Threat” performers are multi-talented and well rounded performers who have generally had years of education and performing experience in Acting, Dancing, and Singing. When they audition for roles in plays, they have the competitive advantage because they are so versatile and their skills add so much more to the overall production. Directors like to cast “Triple Threat Performers”. Actors who cannot sing or dance are what we call “straight” actors and are limited in the roles they can audition for.
This program is only for those students who want to become strong Actors, Singers and Dancers. Our goal is to help them become well-rounded, confident performers who can compete and participate in both public school and community theater. Some may even want to become professionals.
Our Acting, Dancing and Singing Programs offer the classes necessary to develop and "fine tune" these skills that enable them to become serious, polished performers. As they develop these skills their confidence will begin to soar and their self-esteem will increase. These benefits will overflow into other aspects of their lives and they will become more confident in themselves and their abilities. These courses are designed to cover their growing up years and can be taken from the time your child is two and a half to nineteen years old. They do not need to be taken all at once. We want the kids to have fun while learning and developing their talents.
Musical Theater Program 1.5 hours per week Includes acting, singing, dancing, tumbling and auditioning skills.
Twinkles, Hollywood Kids, Hollywood Teens, Hollywood Encore
We study Musical Theater as our “Core Curriculum” because it encompasses all aspects of the Theater Arts. Our classes are performance based and include instruction in Acting, Singing, Dancing and Auditioning. Our “Hollywood Kids”, “Hollywood Teens” and “Hollywood Encore” classes audition each semester for roles and are cast in our productions (our “Twinkles” perform but do not audition). They literally grow up auditioning and performing because all “Hollywood Kids” perform each semester in a Play or Review type production. From Shakespeare to Broadway our students study and perform the best theatrical literature while having so much fun! We also teach them auditioning skills from five years old & up. Dance Program
1 hour or more per week
Dance classes award children an opportunity to grow and express themselves through music. Dancers are agile, flexible, and creative. When preparing for programs, dancers learn to work in groups. Our dance program includes ballet, tap, Jazz, hip hop, and power tap, which is a new and fun development of clogging. Our curriculum and teachers will guide your children through a wonderful program as they share their love for dance. Singing Program
1 hour group or individual instruction Private Vocal Coaching and Instruction Available.
Our Singing Classes include Group instruction, private coaching and lessons. The classes include music theory, sight singing, ear training, solo training, classical, musical theater, jazz, pop and choral training. These classes are fun and exciting. Due to the delicate nature of young vocal chords Private Vocal Coaching can begin at 13 years old and Private Voice Lessons should be started no earlier than 15 years old.
Fairytale Theater and Dance Program
3/4 hour group instruction
Our fairytale ballet program is for your cute little girls or hero seeking boys. Lights, sound, action! Give your child a fairytale expirence every week. Costumes, castles sets, props and lights let your child expirence a real fairytale of a expirence. Learn More...
Tumbling Program
All Levels
We include Tumbling classes in our curriculum to give our
students a well-balanced performing arts education. Tumbling
builds strength and endurance and is a fun-filled discipline.
This gives our performers a competitive edge in the theatrical
world.
Our classes are designed to give our students a performance-based
education from as early as three years old. As they develop
these skills their confidence soars and their self-esteem
increases. Our experience shows that children who grow up
with the Performing Arts are more confident and less afraid.
